Polypropylene – the plastic of the future!

Polypropylene has no odour or taste, does not irritate the skin or mucous membranes, and is therefore physiologically safe.

Film made of PP is free of softening agents and acids, and will therefore not damage filler or contact material.

In addition, Trapalen® film from Folien Point contains no heavy metal compounds.

Recycling is carried out in an environmentally responsible way with thermal recycling and the recycling of raw materials. The combustion process primarily produces carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and water.

The trend is moving toward polypropylene

Polypropylene, one of the newest polymer plastics, has experienced above-average growth since the beginning of the 1980s.

It has reached the output of all standard plastics and, in 1997, even surpassed the market leader PVC.

But that is just the beginning. The continual development of PP raw materials will make it possible in the future to manufacture entire assemblies as recyclable single-material products.

The use of polypropylene has substantial economic advantages. A low specific weight, modern processing methods and the use of inexpensive raw materials make PP an economically attractive film. More and more processors are therefore choosing polypropylene and adjusting their production accordingly.
